There are 2 methods to perform a hard reset.

First method, also known as soft reset can be performed if you follow a few steps: Here is the first method for performing a hard reset:

1 From the main screen, you have to select Settings.

2 From the Settings menu, you will have to choose the ‘Back up & Reset’ icon.

3 Click on ‘Factory data reset’.

4 Choose Ok and wait for the device to reboot.

Here is the alternative method for bringing your phone back to its initial settings.

1 Turn off your device.

2 Press and hold the Volume Up key, the Home button and the Power button.

3 Your phone will reboot in Recovery mode. Use the Volume buttons to navigate in the menu and the Power button to select an option.

4 Using the Volume button, navigate to the ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ option and select it using the Power key.

5 The process will end with the message ‘Data Wipe Complete’.

6 Wait for your phone to reboot.
