Hard Reset the Alcatel One Touch Evo 7 to Factory

Once your data is saved, you’re safe to start the hard reset procedure. This will require following the steps below:

  1. Turn your phone OFF before starting the procedure.
  2. Press the Volume Up, Home and Power keys simultaneously, until the Android screen appears.
  3. Using the Volume buttons to navigate, scroll to Wipe out data/Factory Reset and confirm the option by pressing the Power button.
  4. Navigate once more using the Volume keys to Yes – delete all data and confirm the choice using the Power button.
  5. Scroll down using the Volume buttons to Reboot System Now and confirm.
  6. When the process is completed, press the Power button to restart your phone.

At this moment, you have a fresh smartphone with the memory drives empty and a brand new operating system. All you have to do now is to restore the data from the backup you have made. To do so, you should follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Command Prompt on your computer again by searching “cmd”.
  2. Type “C: ” to change the directory into C.
  3. On your command prompt, type “CD sdk/platform-tools/”.
  4. Connect your phone to the computer.
  5. Check it is detected, by typing “adb devices”.
  6. Type “adb restore D:backup:ab” to restore the data.
  7. Disconnect the phone and check that all your data is intact.
